Dude you got people living right across the street from you...
I've waved to them. The woman wears a tie-dyed shirt and plants an insane amount of flowers and they have a lawn jockey statue and they didn't paint it's face white, but they did move it to behind the house. And I think they have a horse over there. I swear I hear a horse sometimes.  They seem to be on the same spiritual path as me. I wave to them when I drive by.

All in all, I would rather have the dramatic changes of season like we have here to like what goes in in like Arizona.  Winter there's like a pause. It's just cold at night for a couple weeks.
Snows like hell in Northern Arizona.

I could do without the leaf blowing stuff.  Maybe they could all just fall at once and i wouldn't have to leaf blow until my arm falls off...every day.
It's a miracle. It must be my reward for saintly living. The wind carries all the leaves off my property to parts unknown. It's like God is leaf-blowing my yard.

Yes. It's awful. The chaos and confusion...and then it's noon and everything is back to normal.

I have been to Phoenix in December, it does get cold enough where you need at least a jacket...
I think they're a bunch of pansies. They don't even know what cold means.

Who is "they" and for what purpose would the UN be sending soldiers ?
I don’t know. I saw videos where migrants are claiming to be paid UN soldiers, who were ordered to cross into the US.

It does get crazy up by the Grand Canyon. I was driving around up there in a snowstorm. Utah's nice....whatever that is up that way...Glan Canyon maybe? I drove through there a couple times. I like driving a lot better than flying even though I don't normally like driving. But when you're on a road trip it's different. You aren't late for work hitting every redlight. I did a lot of driving back and forth across the country when I was a kid.  Seems like I had more money and free time than responsibilities back then.  America's a giant country.

Snow is constant there. High elevation.

Tens of thousands of people from cold climates moved to Phoenix, esp after the affordability of air conditioning in the 1960s, when Phoenix first became a major city..

But for what purpose? Anyhow, Last night I was reading some article and it said that something like 200,000 of these people cross a month. And I wondered how many Allied soldiers it took to invade occupied Europe in association with the D-Day events?  I mean how many grown men en force does it take to overwhelm a nation?
It is an invasion.
I find your take interesting and I'm glad. That Russian guy I used to work with who was a Croatian from Bosnia was anti-immigrant. That made me happy that he recognized that he was automatically one of us. As a native American, I want that to be known among European immigrants...that they are family. If 200,000 Europeans showed up at our door, I would be throwing flowers. We have been waiting for them.

They don't have enough water. The environment in Arizona is not appropriate for big cities. You need arable land and water.

I wonder what these people walking here from Venezuela will be like in a couple generations?  I know what happened with Italians and Greeks and the Irish. I respect the Mexicans that come here to work.
I wonder what my grandparents would think and hope that I would think.

Hoover Dam primarily helped build the city to its present state. They have other reservoirs with water coming  from the mountains where it does snow but the Colorado was the main source...
