People keep trying to give these banality-of-evil people the benefit of the doubt, saying “if it affects them and their own families, then they’ll see,” but they don’t. They CHOOSE not to, even then. Because even when it hits them, they still don’t care. They sacrifice their own children for their ideology. English fails me. There is no word or phrase sufficient to the task of describing or labeling this kind of evil. Evil is a cartoon. It’s hyperbole. It’s melodrama. We have no word serious enough nor accurate for this.."
