So they raised the minimum wage here to about 15 bucks an hour. If you flip burgers here you will make 15 bucks an hour. That's a good thing. However the home health Care people who come to my house 2 days a week are making.... $15 an hour. These people are very much underpaid. In the meantime Jeff bezos did a little deal the other day that will get him paid $700 million bucks a year. That's around 55 million bucks a month. That's almost 14 million bucks a week... Or about $269,000 bucks an hour. Also I like to keep in mind that even Obamacare doesn't cover dental care in this country. Bad teeth are known to cause many other health problems. But if you're poor in this country you can forget about dental care. I was recently informed that a dental procedure I needed was going to cost me $5,000. Then they had to nerve to tell me if I used a credit card to pay they would be forced to charge me an extra 5%. What incredible arrogance.

You live in a hillbilly state what you need teeth for?

Minimum wage of seven bucks an hour is basically a slave wage. It hasn't increased in years. I will admit that since they raised fast food worker's salaries here to 15 bucks an hour I can't afford fast food purchases anymore. But you have to remember I'm at the very bottom of the wage scale. I'm well under the poverty rate in this country. So of course I had to cut out fast food when they raised their wages. But most everybody else who still makes decent money can easily afford to go to McDonald's. It's time wages were normalized in this country. We are fast becoming a nation of the very rich and the very poor.

The min wage has been far too low for far too long and that is a source of a lot of our problems.

$15 an hour is now at least $5 too little.
