So here’s what happened. The startup I was working for got fucked by the main investor. With no warning, he fired the whole dev team, took the product, and sold the company - which meant more money for him because he sold the intellectual capital without all the salaries of R&D (my team) and IT.

We all got shitcanned 3 days before launch, when we should have been celebrating.

Oh and to pump his profits more, he fucked us on severance.

This guy has a net worth of over $100 million. It would have cost him about $100,000 to take care of the team after cutting them.

So yeah. What a week.."
