I'm zapped....no caffeine today. Complete full blown caffeine addiction. I could drink a Coke. Hate the calories and the sugar but that's how low I have sunk - it would keep the headache at bay.

Just stopped at my little organic market - all kinds of healthy stuff...organic is just not going to cut it tonight.

Coke and 3 Girl Scout Cookies.

Good afternoon!!

Hey PL!! What normally take me 35ish minutes to get to work took me 1 1/2 hours this morning. It was like a tornado blizzard this morning. We were 62F yesterday - the snow meted and then froze. I had a car behind me fishtail and then do a 360. DIA had all runways closed for an hour - should have stayed home. Top 5 worst work drives ever. I had one when I was 22 - brand new to Denver, working for IBM and had just gone to our holiday party. I had an old Chevy Malibu and did a 360 on an overpass...I realized in that moment I better pay attention when it snowed. That's my #1.

Is that the storm coming my way?  Thunder boomers all morning, a couple decent pours but not enough rain to raise the creek much. This next round is likely going to be much worse, wind and a lot of rain plus temps dropping.

Had something different tonight, I about ran over a mink on the way back. I have seen them at the Mud River but never near the holler. Reckon it was hunting the peeper frogs.

The forecast:

"...HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) - A dual risk of heavy weather exists on Wednesday as heavy rains threaten local high water in the morning while strong winds blow all day long, posing the risk of power flickers and scattered power outs.

The rains will slacken by afternoon from west to east while the winds blow forcefully (30-40 mph gusts) from 5 a.m. to 5 p.m. These type of winds do pose the risk of spotty to scattered power hits.

In the rain department, we should see an inch on average across the WSAZ viewing area which will create pockets of street flooding. Small streams will be closely watched for any overflow though most should be able to handle the predicted rain.

So it’s a genuine FIRST ALERT DAY for wind and rain commencing by school bell time and lasting until after the buses hit the road at day’s end..."

Tony tracks and times the wind and rain for Wednesday.

"..Joe Biden is an engaging, intelligent person with a sense of humor and the experience and temperament to be President, as we’ve seen. Trump is a nightmarish, unhinged criminal who wants to rule over America under his fascist dictatorship while he knocks off enemies with no repercussions if he feels like it.

Sue the living bejesus out of them!  This is settled law, free speech, the "arrest" was a kidnapping and other crimes.

"...Uncle of 10-year-old killed in Uvalde mass shooting arrested for saying f*ck to ex-police chief (video)

Apparently, it's legal to buy an AR-15 in Texas, but saying the f-word can get you arrested.

As was the case yesterday when the uncle of one of the Robb Elementary School victims in the Uvalde mass shooting was arrested for saying "fuck" to the city's former police chief, Mariano Pargas Jr. Yes, the same cowering police chief who passively stood by for 80 minutes before taking action while 19 children and two teachers were murdered — and who now enjoys a job as a county commissioner.

"There were eight to nine students still in that classroom, and you walked the fuck away," said Brett Cross during an Uvalde County Commissioners Court meeting. His 10-year-old nephew, Uziyah Garcia, who Cross was raising as a son, died after a bullet from an AR-15 hit him in the back during the mass murder.

"Watch your language!" one of the commissioners warned Cross.

"Language, language, language. My child is fucking DEAD!" the grieving uncle responded.

And for that, police handcuffed him.

From the Fort-Worth Star Telegram:

Pargas was the acting police chief for the Uvalde Police Department when the shooting happened, the Uvalde Leader News reported. He resigned six months later amid the aftermath, but despite his high-profile role in the mishandling of the shooting, he was reelected as county commissioner.

Cross was arrested and taken into custody by the Uvalde County Sheriff's Department on a charge of disrupting a meeting or procession, KENS reported.

Cross has since been released but says the commission used his profanity as an excuse to keep him quiet, he told the station.

"Profane is burying your child. Profane is picking out which cartoon character is going to be on their casket. Profane is waking up every single day knowing your child isn't here," he said, via the Star Telegram. "The F word is not." Unless you're in Texas, that is..."

"..I just hope, when we have a government shutdown on FRIDAY, that the American people understand that the dysfunctional House #GOP #republicans had MONTHS to pass either a budget or CR, took MANY weeks off, did Hunter Biden stuff, disseminated russian disinformation, impeached Mayorkas, fought with each other, blocked #border security, blocked #Ukraine aid, went on 2-week vacation & got NOTHING done. While #disloyal #antiAmerican #magaMike went to see the adjudicated rapist, adjudicated fraud who is charged with #91felonies.

And they blocked #Ukraine aid.

Way past time to fire these pro-Putin MAGA extremists.."
