Come on down, I have a whole house needing that.

How do you fasten molding to brick, I have a room of that , that needs done now that I am going with LVL over the concrete floor.
The walls Are brick?
The way these houses here are built, they put the base board in before the floor. These guys butt the wood or laminate against the base and I put the shoe on top of the flooring and nail horizontally into the baseboard.
Whenever I did floors, I did the baseboard after the flooring was installed so you don't need shoe molding. The baseboard would be on top of the floor. Shoe molding gets a little bust when you start cutting little tiny pieces, etc.

The best thing about shoe gigs is my shoe-cutting saw:

[ Attachment Invalid Or Does Not Exist ]

7 1/4" . This is the only one made these days I think. Craftsman used to make a saw this small. I go through one every year or two but they're only a hundred bucks and they are so light and so easy to use it's worth it.  I wear hard knee pads, sit in front of that saw cross-legged on the floor, cut a whole floor at once reading of my little note book and then I slide around on my knees with the nail gun. I do it when no one's around because I don't want them to know how fast I can do it or they'll try to clip me on the price.

You ever hear the old adage the cobbler's children have holes in their shoes? That's how the trim is in my house...because I don't give a shit.

It was originally a covered breezeway between the house and garage, the POs poured a concrete floor and closed it in with big windows and short pony walls with doors center on either end but never used it for much but storage, I made a TV room out of it so I could see both the river and the front yard while watching the boob tube.

I have decided to spring a bit and cover the concrete floor with LVL but that will require molding on the two walls that used to be outside walls.

I am very stupid when it comes to stuff like that. My husband always gets mad. He thinks I’m mocking him, but I truly have no idea.

I didn't do the trim in my house.  One good thing, all the interior doors here are solid wood...all three of them.
That is a particular pet peeve of mine. The houses I trim are a million bucks a throw and they have hollow doors and plated door knobs. It's a war crime.

So if the walls are brick and the floor's concrete, you have to glue it. I suppose you will have to put weights on it while the adhesive sets-up.
Or you could glue and screw baseboard into the brick walls with a few tapcons and then nail the shoe to the base board.
