Really what I'd like to be driving is like a 1989 Dodge Ram or F-150 with dome hubcaps, manual windows and an AM radio.....and I'd pay top dollar too.
go for a week and count all the old Dodge trucks you see and count all the old Ford trucks you see …and see  which one out numbers the other.

my insurance will cover my primary care physician 100%. It will not cover 100% of an elective visit to urgent care unless I have cut off a limb therefore I have to schedule my appointments with the primary care doctor usually, there’s a three month wait time. NOBODY EVER PROMISED ME A ROSE GARDEN…
I'm putting off all medical problems until I get Medicare...or whetever you get when you turn 65. I have some 'marketplace' bullshit now.  Every night on the news they highlight these stories about how expensive insurance is and how they pretty much turn everyone down that needs anything that matters.

Cold war anyone?

"..the current US nuclear stockpile consists of 3,700 warheads, with another 1,477 awaiting dismantlement. This represents a nearly 90% reduction from the peak stockpile size of 31,000 warheads the US had in 1967.."

It's been my long-standing policy to not drive on the expressway if I can avoid it - and I usually can.  The region where I live is similar to that area of the ocean commonly known as The Bermuda Triangle - where the laws of space, time and gravity are warped.  We drive east to get to Canada and get on Eastbound I-94 to go north - I don't know why; none of us do. It's just the way things have always been.

My wife's going to Boston so I drove her to Metro Airport which is way down south near Ohio. On the way back north - on eastbound 94 -  there was a big billboard next to the giant tire that said "You're not in Ohio anymore - That's a win !". I wanted to take a picture of it but I was too busy trying not to die to engage in landscape photography. People like me shouldn't even be allowed to drive by an airport. I'm way too high strung.

"Starbucks CEO defends a cup of coffee costing $9

He says the customers needs to just not think about it as a $9 cup of coffee, you’re paying for the “experience” of getting a Starbucks coffee

“In some cases a $9 experience does feel like you're splurging, and then what that means is we have to make it worthwhile.”

He says Starbucks customers “want to have a special experience and regardless of what your income level is, in some cases, a $9 experience does feel like you're splurging —  well, this is a really affordable premium experience”

How out of touch could a person possibly be…"
