Do they eat ticks?

My front porch was a warm spot on a cold day. Faced south. A Mockingbird stayed all year eating Japanese Holly berries. And then there was the idiot Woodpecker that would pound on the aluminum siding causing real annoying noise. This Joisey for chrise sakes. 

I was told they eat ticks. They wreck my patio experience and have destroyed the barn. I wish that mink would come back.
