As of late October 2025, there are over 8,800 Starlink satellites in orbit, with approximately 8,795 considered operational. This number is constantly changing due to ongoing launches and some satellites deorbiting at the end of their lifespan.


Any time I take long exposures of deep sky, there's satellite tracks criss-crossing it.

I saw a video of that the other day, I should have posted it here. The satellites ruined the time lapse.
