New Year is a bullshit, waste-of-time holiday. It's a hassle after dealing with the Halloween-Thanksgiving-Christmas metroplex. It's just too many Sundays-like-days-with-shitty-weather in a row.
4th of July is my favorite.
No cold weather, no gifts. Just food, booze, and party.
