Daylight savings is pointless. What was the original idea? To save lamp oil ? An extra hour to forage for firewood?

"Vice President JD Vance said Saturday he was confronted by pro-Ukrainian protesters while he was out walking with his 3-year-old daughter.

"Today while walking my 3 year old daughter a group of ‘Slava Ukraini’ protesters followed us around and shouted as my daughter grew increasingly anxious and scared," Vance posted Saturday afternoon on X.

"I decided to speak with the protesters in the hopes that I could trade a few minutes of conversation for them leaving my toddler alone," he continued. "Nearly all of them agreed."

Vance said it was a "mostly respectful conversation, but if you’re chasing a 3-year-old as part of a political protest, you’re a s--- person."

I never understood the need for it. Whether it be energy saving at factories or farming, just start you day an hour earlier. There is still the same length in daylight hours. The length of the day doesn't change.

Decisions on Ukraine should be made by the troika of US, Russia and China.  "BRICS" needs the rug pulled out from under it.  The Big Three need to collaborate on defeating the more pressing issue of islamism that is a threat common to all decent people, regardless of race, nationality or religion.

My family told me that in Europe they are calling for the assassination of Trump and Vance. That’s unsettling.
