They should bring back the draft. Migrants would be heading for the exits then. It'd probably be the only job a lot of these people would ever have in their entire lives. It's work experience.

The funny thing is that the one that excluded me was a drunk driving ticket from the 80's. They didn't care about fighting, walking around with a gun, taking bets...all that shit.

....it's for the best. i would have ended up in Leavenworth.

I suggested that earlier. Make them eligible for the draft.

It wouldn't even have to be military service. It could be similar to the NRA or whatever Public Works thing Roosevelt did where they planted all those trees up north and built roads, etc.  Serve the nation and gain experience. There is no downside. That is why China and Russia thinks American kids are pasty-faced pansies -  because they sit around playing video games all day instead of working in the fields and shovelling coal and so forth.

This shit here:

"The Works Progress Administration (WPA; from 1935 to 1939, then known as the Work Projects Administration from 1939 to 1943) was an American New Deal agency that employed millions of jobseekers (mostly men who were not formally educated) to carry out public works projects,[1] including the construction of public buildings and roads. It was set up on May 6, 1935, by presidential order, as a key part of the Second New Deal.

The WPA's first appropriation in 1935 was $4.9 billion (about $15 per person in the U.S., around 6.7 percent of the 1935 GDP).[2] Headed by Harry Hopkins, the WPA supplied paid jobs to the unemployed during the Great Depression in the United States, while building up the public infrastructure of the US, such as parks, schools, roads, and drains. Most of the jobs were in construction, building more than 620,000 miles (1,000,000 km) of streets and over 10,000 bridges, in addition to many airports and much housing. In 1942, the WPA played a key role in both building and staffing concentration camps to incarcerate Japanese Americans."

Serving the nation...and FDR was like the Patron Saint of Democrats  (but now a 'Right Wing extremist').

Wow man. We should bring back those concentration camps for muslims they're a million times worse than the Japanese ever were.

"......more than $1 billion on public buildings, including the Dock Street Theatre in Charleston, the Griffith Observatory in Los Angeles, and Timberline Lodge in Oregon's Mount Hood National Forest."

The difference between what FDR did and what the dipshits of today want to do is that FDR helped those down on their luck...but they were Americans and they had to earn it. It was a win/win.  Today, Democrats  are just importing voters at great cost  regardless of the effect it has on the nation in the same way that their forebears   imported African slaves without  regard way back when.

WPA saved my mom's family in the 1930's. But my uncles worked hard at WPA for that too. Building the Alaska Highway.

There’s forests up north of giant pines all in neat rows. I heard that that’s what it was. There’s pictures of those guys living in like barracks. Replaced all the trees the timber barons cut down

They lived in the barracks and sent the money home to keep everybody from starving.

Our cat only eats chicken. That's all she likes. Won't even eat tuna. Makes her sick.

My grandfather was a postal worker. He wasn't well off but not poor either.

Kids have no skills today. College has become largely a false promise in the US.  It's a hundred grand for a four year degree and it doesn't really qualify you for anything if you have no job experience. And realistically, kids may not even be trying anymore. Who can blame them? Houses, cars, rent, college....all prohibitively expensive now. There's chaos in the streets, healthcare is a luxury...
