They could straighten out healthcare in one day if they tried in earnest. But the primary agenda of the US government is not to serve the nation and its people. It is to try at every turn to make the other party look bad, sabotage anything they propose and whip up hared among the populace. But what, in reality, has the government done for us ? Since 9/11 the country has been in a tail spin of endless warfare and constant bickering. The media is thoroughly unreliable. There is not one source of credible information available to any of us now that every person on Earth can publish their thoughts as if they were gospel.
At any rate, I'm glad I'm white and live in an all-white Christian community. There is no crime here, the schools are top-notch, safe and encouraging. We all look out for one another and help our neighbours in need. We are insulated from the larger world and the attendant hate. This is real Americana. ... we want to keep it this way..... It doesn't matter if you have faith or religion - here we are all Christians because we treat one another with respect and kindness. We would like to see all of America like this. It would be a much better world with Americans setting a moral example as well as carrying an economic/military bludgeon.
