"...The Unites States Postal Service is making new changes in 2026, including the postmark process — which could cost you late fees and penalties for anyone mailing time-sensitive documents such as tax returns or bill payments. Here's what to know.

A USPS postmark is an official mark that shows where and when mail was accepted by the Postal Service. It used to include the date when it was dropped it in a mailbox or at the post office counter. However, the new rule will reflect the postmark with the date your envelope is first processed by an automated USPS sorting machine, potentially days after it was dropped off — not the actual drop-off date.

But that's not all; rising shipping rates and post office modernization is also on the way for the new year..."

Ouch!  Looked like she hit the tree.
She hit the reflective pole, then she hit the tree, and the bush stopped the car.

Actually only her passenger airbag deployed. The driver side didn’t. She was very lucky not to get totally fucked up.

I'm going into palliative care in a few days.

Necessity is the Mother of Invention...or Innovation (depending on what your definition of the word 'is' is).

Wow man. That's as sick as I've ever been. If I was 10 or 15 years older, that would have killed me. I almost went to a clinic a couple nights ago but then I started feeling better. Most distressing has been the absolutely unconscionable amount of marijuana I have not smoked over the past week because of the horrific scourge with which I have been afflicted. In an effort to recover from that, I have put a half ounce of reefer in the oven at 200 degrees to "decarboxylize" it so I can eat it.

I got sick Christmas Eve night and slept until yesterday. So I gave my wife and kid their presents and finally ate. On the upside, I saved a lot of money by not eating or smoking pot for several days. I don't know what's going on outside. It's been nuts with the weather...just one blizzard after the next. So now I have to figure out how to eat all this weed and air out the house before my wife gets home.

I thought my entire life had crashed and burned...because I always feel like that. Turns out I have complete shit together. All the bills are paid, taxes paid, insurance paid, Christmas sewed-up,  a couple hundred bucks in my desk drawer and at least an ounce of weed. Things could be worse. I could live in Somalia or Detroit.

Some chick crashed her car on my front lawn a couple winters ago. She was drunk. the car bounced off a pole and slid out to the edge of the ravine next to our house. It was a driving snow storm. So I went out there, got her out of the car before the cops came and brought her inside until someone came to pick her up. The car was trashed, a lease. So the next day she made a report and had the car towed. Luckily there was a blizzard so it was kind of excusable that she slid off the road, even though she had been drinking. In Michigan,  a drunk driving charge is worse than robbing a bank. They absolutely wreck your life. And the threshold is a joke...like one drink and you're drunk...two drinks and you're Michigan "super drunk" which means they take your car, double all the penalties, throw you in jail, suspend your license, make you go to a rehab owned by the judge's brother-in-law and have you piss in a cup randomly. Fortunately, last time I was busted it was still just a hundred dollar fine and a couple of AA meetings. But they quickly figured out that the drunk driving demographic could be milked for a lot more money than other criminals so it costs a minimum of ten grand...more like 20....and every bar in the State has a parking lot full of cars at all times....ready to be harvested at will by what is essentially an excruciating tax collection racket.

I just dumped a quarter ounce of reefer into some kind of cannaboidal soup I made. Now I'm going to suck this down and see what happens, performing medical experiments on myself like Viktor Von Frankenschteen.

I had to work while sick.
