That's a lot of work when you can use a card to retract the bolt. Older locksets are made so you have a hard time doing that but they are seldom installed correctly.  File cabinet though, she had to have gotten the key somehow.

Of course she was one of the trusted, she might have just asked for it or the key ring it was on. LOL

A paperclip and a small screwdriver would have done the trick. Picking locks is an acquired skillset.
