I don't know if it's cheap. Plus you have to buy a coffin if you have a funeral. Nobody wants to look at a dead body. That is a revolting custom. I think the Jews just bury them right away. It's hot over there. I read that the practice of packing the house with flowers was to cover the smell originally.

In Bulgaria everybody gets buried the next day.

Cremation is definitely cheaper.
I don't even want to pay for that. It seems like you shouldn't have to. It should be covered by your property tax or something.
