The goal could be noble, morally justified, or just the product of greed, most often a mix of both. The people who die & their families never get a choice to "make that sacrifice."

The men who spend the blood of other people's children so profligately think they do us a favor. Oh yes, only *they* are brave enough to make tough choices.
