Thank God. I have the weekend off and there's no one here. Too bad the weather's going to suck. I've had all my plants in pots ready to go into the ground for a couple weeks. I probably planted everything too early and we're having a late spring. It gets to be a problem moving that many plants in and out every day. It's really not completely safe until Memorial Day. But I can't make it another month. Maybe another week.

Life was better for everyone during the Cold War. There were checks and balances. It was...you know...'bi-cameral'. Americans were heroes back then, bigger than life; the good guys. Fast forward a couple decades and there is a huge contingent that wants to turn us all into apologetic sissies bearing the guilt of all ages. I don't follow politics too closely so I don't know or care about most of it. But the part of it where Trump's 86'ng all the anti-American, anti-family, anti-Christian, anti-hetero bullshit that was being force fed to us is all good.
We all know what normal is and it's not too demanding. We live in a society. You don't get to make up your own rules as you go along.

The price of virtually every single item we purchase or expense we have started accelerating during that pandemic and to think we are ever going back to what was once normal is fantasy. Those insurance companies, the car companies, the drug companies....every one of them got a taste of what it feels like to juice the Middle Class and the government at maximum capacity and they like it. Everything doubled inside of five years....any plans you may have had in life should be adjusted accordingly.
