They didn't run us out of Detroit. Detroit's a shit-hole. My dad became a millionaire and we moved to a mansion in the neighborhood where all the auto barons live(d).  You couldn't even imagine how different that is than Detroit without never having been here. There's a street here we call The Berlin Wall - lol. If you see a aerial photo - it looks like the border between North and South Korea. One side -flowers sailboats, estates, the other- well....not.  Fortunately for us, Michigan has remained one of the most segregated places in North America.

....but no one will ever talk me out of my bigotry because, above all, I am a man of science.

Our parks, our schools, our shops and restaurants were openly segregated at least they still were until I moved here around 19 years ago...I don't know what goes on now. Hopefully it's the same. We never had to lock our doors or give any thought to crime. Really.

Speaking of all this 'inequality'...Gus has become aware of the dog's diet and is now protesting for equal fare.  The only reason we don't give the cats the same special food the dog Willow gets is because the dog has her paws on the table staring into our faces from 2 inches away while we're eating. Gus is fond of rotisserie chicken.

A long time ago, Detroit was awesome. When I was little, it was safe beautiful and well maintained. All the shops were open, no broken windows, etc. All big cities were like that....during my lifetime.  It wasn't white people that turned Chicago and Detroit into free-fire zones.
