I'm WFH - my lower left back is screaming. They gave me some kind of muscle relaxer (tizanidine) I didn't take in October when this hit before. This is over the top bad - so I took one - it makes me walk like Frankenstein. Loaded up on Advil, Aleve and Tylenol and Gabapentin.

I don't think so - I skied on Saturday, felt great, was fine Sunday and it started a bit on Monday night - woke up this morning, could barely get out of bed. Did my normal 4 Advil and hot bath. Even getting into the tub was bad. That didn't work. Took 2 more hot baths - think I need a heating pad. Our power went off at some point and the hot tub was freezing cold. Heating up now. It's a dull ache at this point - I can make it up and down the stairs. I hate the muscle relaxer but I guess it works. I can barely lift my legs.

Just getting over my oral surgery - no pain there!

This too shall pass.

Backs are a mofo. They told me to **** myself. Just get used to being in pain,they said.

I went through a month - mid October to mid November and then all of a sudden everything was fine. I guess I've had 2 1/2 months pain free. We'll see how long this flare up is.

I think what I'll do is have my Advil, Aleve, Tylenol and Tizanidine by my bed and take them at 4:00am and see how I feel at 6:00am when I need to get up. Maybe throw a heating pad in.

Heating pad usually works better than pills.

As I have aged, I notice that apparently I hurt myself and don't notice untila day or so after. Last time I was down in my back was like that, I have zero idea what I did but the pain started in the vening then got worse for a couple days.
