Cops should use video of the 1968 Democratic Convention in Chicago and the Kent State / Ohio Guard police action of 1970 as training films.

I'm going to build my own coffin. That's probably legal.  I have a lot of time. But I'm going to use cheap wood. It's really just a disposal job. Our burial customs are sinful - the waste of precious materials - not to mention the toxic waste from embalming chemicals.

If half the cops did their job, the other half would be in prison.

"In Michigan, embalming is not required except in limited circumstances. For example, if a body is not buried or cremated within 48 hours, embalming may be required for transportation purposes. Embalming is also required if the death was due to certain rare, communicable diseases."

"Although funeral homes may sometimes be very pushy about getting you to buy caskets from them, federal law requires funeral homes to accept caskets that consumers have purchased from another source, such as an online retailer. (Learn more about your consumer rights under the FTC Funeral Rule.) You may also build your own casket if you prefer."

"...burial on private property is sometimes possible in Michigan. Michigan state law allows for the creation of private burial grounds of less than an acre outside city or village limits. ... it will then be exempt from taxation.

Before conducting a backyard burial or establishing a family cemetery, you will need zoning approval and a permit from the local health department."

So basically, you can do anything you want with dead people.   I might even dig my own grave. I bet I can get out of this shit for like 200 bucks.

Alkaline hydrolysis (more informally called "water cremation," "flameless cremation," "aquamation," and many other terms) is a chemical process that reduces a body to components of liquid and bone. It's considered a greener alternative to cremation because it uses less energy than cremation and doesn't release matter into the atmosphere.

That’s so morbid. I don’t care what happens to my body after I die. It was stolen anyway.

I do care. I don't want anyone doing anything stupid and paying funeral homes is the stupidest thing In life...or...shortly thereafter.

Alkaline hydrolysis is legal in some states, including Vermont, Washington, and West Virginia.

I don't know if it's cheap. Plus you have to buy a coffin if you have a funeral. Nobody wants to look at a dead body. That is a revolting custom. I think the Jews just bury them right away. It's hot over there.  I read that the practice of packing the house with flowers was to cover the smell originally.

It's all based on superstition and religion.  I spent a lot of time going through the kinds of enormous churches they have in Europe. The architecture and craftsmanship is insane. That was also motivated by religion and superstition. Amazing what a belief in magic can do. Classical music too.  European culture (including American)  is vastly superior to all others. It's not even close. Other cultures have brief blips, but not an unbroke continuum like us.  Pre-islam Egypt, Persia etc...flash in the pan.  China, Japan, mostly unremarkable with a few exceptions. Aztecs, Maya, etc...basically less heavily armed versions of the Mexican cartels...a bunch of coke heads.
